Frank Hansen is a jazz bassist with a career rooted in performing at the highest levels of music. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of performing with and for legendary artists including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, B.B. King, and Barbra Streisand, among many others. Sharing the stage with musicians of that caliber has shaped both my sound and my approach to the bass.
My experience also includes performing with some of the most iconic ensembles in jazz history, including the Count Basie Orchestra, Duke Ellington Orchestra, Lionel Hampton, and Buddy Rich. In addition to my work in jazz, I’ve spent extensive time in the Broadway world, performing in productions such as Chicago, A Chorus Line, Les Misérables, and The Phantom of the Opera.
I’m also the leader of the Frank Hansen Trio, where I bring together everything I’ve learned over the years into a more personal, intimate musical setting.
